The Conference was composed of several working sections with presentations and round-table discussions, and an accompanying programme. Language of the Conference was English. (Simultaneous translation to Slovak - headphones for Slovak-speaking participants).
a) presentations
were open to those European towns that were able to show some interesting example (either from present or from the past) in the town's approach or philosophy in preservation or construction of elements that contribute to stronger identity of the town and its image within the European environment. Presentation of such selected example studies were followed by working parts - round table discussions.
b) roundtable discussions
The selected topics for discussions were announced in advance. The contributions recieved from the participating speakers were gradually put on the web site and the programme was in this way completed on-line. In this wvery participant knew in advance the discussed topics and it gave him/her the possibility to prepare some questions on the debate.
c) accompanying programme
Rich accompanying programme to the Conference, such as cultural or social events, provided a good opportunity to get familiar with the hosting city and country, as well as its history, culture, and traditions. It also created an opportunity for informal meetings and speaking about potential ways of future cooperation between the participating towns.
